Liveware 2019 performance set comprised of Michael Century and Shawn Lawson, professors at the Rensselaer Arts Department at ASU School of Art respectively with Jeremy Stewart RPI Arts PhD Alumni. The name Liveware plays off a slang term that denotes the “human operator” in computer systems. Lawson is a practitioner of live-coding using graphics languages he developed himself. Century performs on piano and accordion, and uses software he developed allowing live manipulations. Jeremy Stewart is creating machine learning agents trained on audio features & spectra data, and selected image sequences to then output in realtime video performance to complement an audio (human) performer.
